About Patterns:
Illustrator provides a lot of patterns, you can access these
patterns on the "color board" panel and the Illustrator Extras folder
on the Illustrator CD. You can design the pattern from scratch with your own and use any
Illustrator tool. Picture used to fill objects (Fill the pattern) And the pattern
applied to the path through the "Paint" panel (Draw a picture)
Different in design and collage. To achieve the best results, the
filling pattern should be used to fill the object, and the drawing of the pen
pattern should be used to draw the outline of the object.
In designing patterns, the following contents help you understand
the way Adobe Illustrator collects patterns:
All patterns start from the original tape point (in the case of default, in the lower left corner of the drawing board), and are posted from left to right to the other side of the draft.
To adjust the position of all the
patterns in the draft that have been collated, you can change the standard of
the file。
The original scale in CS5 is different from CS4.
Therefore, when you copy the paste object from CS4 to CS5, the appearance of the collage pattern may not match. For such objects, you can use a transform panel to transform the collage to match the appearance of CS4.
There is usually only one collage to fill the pattern。
The brush pattern can contain up to 5 collages, which are used for the boundary line, outer corner, inner corner, and path starting and ending points.
By using
additional side angle collages, the arrangement of brush patterns at the side
corner can be made smoother。
The fill pattern is vertical x times the axis。
The collage direction of the brush pattern is vertical to the path
(the top of the pattern collage is always facing outward). In addition, every time the path changes direction,
the side angle collage will rotate 90°。
Fill the pattern only by collating Picture delimitation box the
graphic manuscript inside, which is an unfilled and unspoken (non-printed)
rectangle at the end of the graphic manuscript. For filling patterns, the boundary box
is used as a cover version。
The drawings and drawings in the boundary box of the drawer
pattern collage pattern, or the parts that highlight outside the boundary box。
Picture construction guidelines:
Please follow the following general guidelines for building
collages:
To make simpler patterns for rapid printing, please remove
unnecessary details from the pattern drafts, and then organize objects of the
same color into groups so that they are adjacent to each other in the stack
order。
When creating a pattern collage, please zoom in on the display
draft to more accurately align the components, and then narrow the draft to
display for final selection。
The more complex the pattern, the smaller the constituency used to
create the pattern; but the smaller the constituency (and the collage with the
pattern it created), the more copies required to create the pattern. Therefore,
a 1 square inch collage is more efficient than a 1/4 square inch collage. If you
create a simple pattern, you can include multiple copies of the object in the
constituency to be used for pattern collage。
To create a simple line pattern, please draw a few stripes with
different widths and colors, and then put an unfilled, unplanned boundary box
behind these lines to create a pattern collage。
To make the tissue or texture pattern appear in an irregular
shape, you can slightly change the collage of the graphics to generate a
realistic effect. You can use the "rough" effect to control various
changes。
To ensure smooth patching, please close the path before defining
the pattern。
Please enlarge the view of the draft picture and check for defects
before defining the pattern。
If a boundary box is drawn around the graphic draft, make sure
that the box is in a rectangular shape, the object of the last side, and it is
not colorful or described. For Illustrator to use the boundary
box for drawing brush patterns, please make sure that there are no prominent
parts of this boundary。
When creating brush patterns, please follow the following
additional guidelines:
Please limit the drafts to the unrecognized boundary as much as
possible in order to control the collating method of the drawings。
The side corner collage must be square and have the same height as
the sideline collage so that it can be correctly aligned on the path. If you
plan to use side-edge collage in the brush case, please align the target level
in the side-edged collage with the object in the sideline collage so that the
pattern can be collated correctly。
Please create a special side corner effect for the brush pattern
spelled with the side corner。
Create a pattern color board:
·
Create a graphic for the pattern。
·
To control the interval of the
elements of the pattern or cut off part of the pattern, please draw a pattern
boundary (unfilled rectangle) around the draft to be used as the pattern. Choose
"object"> "arrangement"> "to the bottom",
so that the rectangle becomes the last object. To use the rectangle as a definite
frame for drawing brushes or filling in patterns, please set it to
"none"。
·
Use "selection" tools to
select the drawings and boundary frames that make up the pattern collage (if
any)
.
Perform one of the following operations:
·
Choose Edit > Define Pattern, enter
a name in the New Swatch dialog box, and click OK. The pattern will appear in
the Swatches panel
·
Drag the draft to the "color
board" panel。
